Mr. Lutchman Bob Mahabir was the founder of Whiz Communications Network.  This Company has been broadcasting radio shows on WAVS 1170 in South Florida since 1989. 

Mr. Mahabir was well loved within the community and a Children’s Foundation has been established in his honor to recognize the work that he has done.  

One of the goals of The Bob Mahabir Children’s Foundation is to raise money to help International Students from the Islands meet their financial obligations in College.  We want to assist them in    completing their course, graduate and return home to help build their respective island home.  Mr Mahabir had a heart that was concerned about the community and loved to work with children. 

We consider you a valued friend and we are sure you too would like to help a young adult achieve the dream of completing their degree.  We ask you to assist us in making that dream a reality by helping in any way you can.  On November 9, 2008, we will be having our premier Fundraising dinner to be held at the Plantation Hotel & Conference Center, Plantation, Florida.  We are asking for a contribution of $40.  If you are unable to attend please consider making a donation.
